There’s currently no movement in the Reiss unit, nor has there been any planning apps submitted.
In other news, Morphe has closed down (Morphe recently ceased the operation of all its stores) and Clintons are currently holding a closing down sale.

Planning application for new city centre park replacing Debenhams:
https://www.cardiffidoxcloud.wales/publ ... QODECGA300Plenty of new visuals. Unsure about the food stalls - already have the market and proposed foodhall at High Street Arcade, unsure whether these outdoor units would be successful except on sunny summer days. Overall plan looks good however.

A lot of content to look through there. I quite like it, not sure if the 80's coloured patterns are set in stone. Also not sure how the open parts are going to be treated after hours!
Interestingly, this is being proposed as a temporary solution, I don't know the time scale for further development but this is on the cards at some point in the future.

Womenswear retailer Sosandar are opening a new store in St. David’s later this year. They currently have one store in Chelmsford, with future locations confirmed for Marlow and Gateshead (Metrocentre). The Cardiff store is expected to open in October. I imagine they’ll occupy LG33 (previously Oasis).

Mango has applied for planning permission for a new large store which looks like it's replacing Deichmann. They had a small store on the ground floor of Grand Arcade which closed a while back, shame they're not taking one of the unlettables near John Lewis!

It looks as though the Upper Grand Arcade is eventually on the up! Land Sec have done well to secure the return of Mango - it’ll compliment the tenant mix nicely in this location! The proposed elevations look great and in terms of sales floor space, this will be one of their largest UK stores (~ 8,000 sq ft). Great to see they’re planning to use the mezzanine. Fingers crossed Deichmann will relocate to one of the units closer to John Lewis - potentially UG28 & MSU06B combined?
Would be great to see Uniqlo occupy units MSU05 & UG25/26 (previously Gilly Hicks and Monsoon). Combined, these units add up to ~18,000 sq ft which is close to Uniqlo’s UK requirements.
Speculatively, I wonder how much longer Victoria Secret will last (at least in their current unit)?! They seem to be closing stores / relocating to smaller units (~5,500 sq ft). Surely their days in MSU08 are numbered?

Anyone know what is going in the old Reiss unit on the Hayes. They seem to be working in there after 5 months of them vacating

Re the old Reiss unit, I overheard a member of the Oliver Bonas staff saying to a customer that they were expending in to the unit next store

Oliver Bonas must be doing well, that's already a big store for them. Many stores in London are much smaller.

Banana Tree, a Pan Asian restaurant part of the The Big Table Group are opening their first Welsh restaurant at St. David’s. It will occupy the ground floor Library units previously occupied by Carluccio’s and GBK (more recently Gin Ne Sais Quoi). Recruitment is underway.
