Why not? I'm sure the architects know what they are doing. It's only 42/44 floors, hardly a super-tall...just big for Cardiff that's all.

Besides, I just don't see us getting it now. I hope they come back with some alternative more viable plan, but still something way above 30. Maybe a hotel, or apartments.

I think DJKiran was referring to the renders of the Maindy building not the Custom House Tower. One of the renders does make it look like it's bridging the railway line next to North Road - although that doesn't seem to be the case from the plans.

Great find, and that's impressive! I would love to see that same shot 20 years ago - that would really show how much building has taken place in a relatively short time. With a fair number of additions to the existing buildings in 10 years time it's going to be a pretty built up city centre!!

Another addition to the skyline will hopefully be the 25 story tower, town end of curran rd and today some preliminary drill testing was taking place

That tower will definitely happen. Brickworks has been selling well, wouldn't surprise me if they started that before Brickworks finished.

Well that sounds like great news! so with work on the ledger office and multi-story car park starting later this year and hopefully this tower, the south side of the station will be a hive of construction activity for some time to come!

Looks like they are doing a great job along the riverside, nice planting and better surfaces.

Hey everyone,

Does anyone have any details of what’s going up currently next to stadium house? I’ve seen articles talking about the HMRC’s new building but that only talks about it being 12 floors, yet when I walked passed it yesterday I could’ve sworn the core of the structure was at 14 floors... basically I just want to know how tall and how many floors it will have!

Thanks.
