If the original inflammatory one had been taken down, we would have moved on by now wouldn't we? Leaving it up, and just removing retorts about it just doesn't look even handed, and seems like it's being endorsed.

OK you've made your point!! I'm not going to trawl back through every post ok! besides at the moment people who visit here and don't wish to bicker can see a little history of what happened. Do you have any comments on Central Quay per chance?

It's back in the news, goes for planning on July 11th. I thought it already had planning permission. Might explain the lack of development on site.

Watching the planning committee on this now on facebook. As part of the masterplan, they mentioned a cycle bridge across the Taff, plus potentially moving the waterbus stop to the east side of the river. They also talked about potentially having trams down the boulevard, 'ideally', but of course this is not part of the current metro plans.

Now they are moving onto the phase 1 which is what is being voted on today, but I have to go out.

In my opinion, the increase in car parking space right in the city centre is a step backwards, and goes against the general plan to reduce car traffic into the city centre.

I do agree, but we have demolished a car park North of the train station, and will be demolishing another on the south. The biggest train station in Wales and the 10th busiest (ish) outside of London needs a car park.

Train stations in big city centres are not suitable for park and ride. In any case the car park is due to have around double the amount of spaces we had in the area before.

That's was before any significant development was built on either the north or south side of the train station. Both are the biggest regeneration schemes we've seen in Wales.
