One point made me laugh - apparently work on the bus station started in April to get it to ground floor level. Other than removing all the rubbish on site, sweet FA has happened on the site. Goodway''s comments of 'shovels in the ground in Q1' was rediculous. We'll be in Q4 soon and no sign of any work happening

It's such a crap piece of journalism again (not unexpected sadly). They work just across the f-ing road, why not show some actual interest and write in the article that it hasn't been started yet. The date of when the application will be heard is also open ended in the article.

I'm beginning to think this might not start until sometime in 2019.

I still really don't like the rather uniform upper section of the bus station design, they could really do with breaking it up a bit with a few vertical elements. Bad design 101.

False Alarm! (sorry) nothing new to report :o however the site is getting increasingly busy - without the feeling that it's all systems go!! or is that just because I'm looking forward to the piling starting. Although, I don't think they have even announced the contractor yet? If it's McAlpine I'm wondering if this will be as rapid a construction as HMRC? (I don't even know if McAlpine are involved).

Pret have been granted planning for their new store in the BBC building so I imagine this will be fitted out soon. There was talk of these units not opening until late next year but I think they'll be done once the paving and thoroughfare are completed.

There’s an application in as part of HMRC/public realm, to ask for more time to submit the designs for the public realm. Should have been submitted by May but because of delays, won’t be ready until September but can they delay until what is effectively January 2019 - 14 month’s after building began

The cover letter refers to HMRC build being completed by November 18!!! It started in November 17. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any build constructed so quickly. I also live close to the student accommodation going up on CRI west wing which at the opposite end of the scale feels like the slowest.

Bloody hell, that is quick isn't it?!

It's a shame the public realm stuff isn't happening until after it's finished. I guess there'll be a fair amount of time after November for internal fit out etc. before HMRC actually move in though.

It'll be good to see St. David's House to come down, but also some firm plans for the last plot next to HMRC. I can't see anything happening to that last plot soon though.

You say that then out of nowhere a massive tower will be proposed by next week. Like the new beast on Charles street.

Do we know when St. David's House is finally getting its final nail?

It be great to see St. Davids house go, that will make the area around there look so much better.

I guess as said earlier once the public realm is done around the BBC, the store fit outs can begin then the Tesco, Boots and Greg’s can move and then St. David’s can go.
