From the images and description "would also feature a plaza adjacent to the station ticket office, and paving along the front of the building on Senghennydd Road" looks like it's on the plot next to Cathays station by those low rise buildings which run along the road

Good to see the scaffolding coming off Brickworks. Although I don't think it's perfect, I love the bricks used and quality like in this

That is actually pretty good isn't it? There's another red brick scheme meant to be going up nearby isn't there?

Actually, has there been any activity on any of the other schemes in that area yet?

Hi Kyle - yes Brickworks is shaping up nicely (I've been on hols so had to get out and catch up on things on saturday)

As for the area - no signs of construction activity to report at the moment :| However I think someone mentioned that Brickworks was selling quite well and with what's planned the other side of Penarth Rd (1 or 2 mins away) Hopefully Brickworks will be just the 1st of a number of developments at this increasingly prime location. Bring on the Curran Rd tower!! :)

The Latest news on the former toys-r-us at ISV - judging by this small article https://www.walesonline.co.uk/business/commercial-property/new-adventure-sports-facility-plans-14970198 I don't think we can expect anything too exciting as the plans would appear to be utilizing the existing structure, with a makeover to fit in with other sporting attraction buildings. So what can we expect in this building to add to our sporting village? On the positive side the snow dome and other ambitious developments were always planned for the other side of the road. So if we lose a toys-r-us and gain a decent sporting attraction then this should still generally be an improvement? or am I being overly optimistic

Well, it'll add to the offering down there from a sports perspective whatever it is. Judging by the size of it could it work as a climbing wall facility? I can't remember how high the building is so maybe not workable.

It'll be interesting to see what it is. At least the council is doing something with it.

The mid rise development Brickworks - personally I would take that over towers....

Would be nice to see developments of this ilk prevalent throughout the City - particularly those close to the City Centre...

It’s a doth of the cap for Brickworks from me...

Slightly off subject but how is City Road in terms of development?

I think Dumballs Road, City Road and Womanby Street are the top streets in Caerdydd

It would be nice if a few other developments in the Dumballs road area followed the same sort of design, but it isn't master planned so who knows what we'll end up with. I know one of the other developments in the area is also red brick I think.
