Well that's decent news for the scheme. Some news on Atlantic Wharf and the council moving (or not) would be good now, or have they already announced that and I missed it?

Think waiting for a decision in the spring but I could be very wrong as I'm only going on what I've read in the press.

Bristol planning committee have just approved the YTL Arena in Filton.
Certainly not my area of expertise, but I do fear that this could impact on Cardiff plans. We seem so much further behind on our plans.
Can the region have 2 successful arenas?

Artists don't make money unless they tour now, everybody is touring all the time. Manchester is about to build a second major arena and London is about to get another. Birmingham has two. Theres no reason why both Bristol and Cardiff can't have a successful major arena.

Agreed on both cities having a large arena, however I'm not convinced that Bristol's site will be successful. There's no rail transport to the site and it's not anywhere near the city centre.

God I hope that if this gets the go ahead then the Motorpoint site is redeveloped. That place is awful for sound quality.

Cardiff Council had better get a move on with this after the lockdown.

I believe Cardiff Council planned to select an operator/developer by the end of March. That might have slipped now, what with everything going on. Either way I believe Cardiff's will get built, whether that be in 2023 or later. Particularly as they've spent millions on getting this far.
