[*] New solar farm at Lamby Way landfill site
[*] Cross city train-tram service connecting Creigiau and St Mellons
[*] Cardiff circle tram line connecting Radyr and Coryton
[*] Farm park at Forest Farm to produce food for the city
[*] Zero-carbon pilot housing estate at former Eastern High School site
[*] Blueprint for all new schools so they are built to carbon neutral standard
[*] Increase tree cover across the city by 25 per cent
[*] Installing water refill stations across the city
[*] Revamping Cardiff Market into sustainable and local food market
[*] Using kerbside sorting to pick out glass from waste collections

The Council will vote on the plans on October 15 and then there will be a 5 month public consultation.

I hope that the "revamp" of the market does not mean booting out a lot of long-established stalls in favour of new, trendy, sustainable but expensive stalls which then become vacant after 12 months when it turns out the demand for £5 artisan bread was less than expected. One of the joys of the market is that it is resolutely untrendy and has probably changed little in decades.
