Good Idea! I vaguely remember something about the CBDC wanting to put a large fountain into the bay but, obviously, nothing came of it. Not sure how much mud it would have thrown up into the air:-)

I walked past this the other day. It is a shame it had to be turned into apartments, but my does it look smart now it's all been restored. Between this and the hospital getting a restoration, this part of Newport road is starting to look a little less grotty!

Can't believe that developed has finally completed, it's taken ages.

Have to say, the apartments look stunning inside. Not sure I would want to live in such a noisy/traffic dominated location mind!

Opposite the old Westgate Pub, current building is no great loss in my opinion

I Heard a rumour that Guildford Crescent development is not happening!! don't know many details but seemingly a funding issue. Maybe this rumour is incorrect but I doubt it

Well that's just fantastic. What are we going to have instead? They bulldozed everyone's favourite music venue and now can't even finish it?! It's just going to left as a shadow of its former self...

As much as I loved that venue and objected to its demolition, I kind of feel that if any future development does go ahead, they should just knock it all down now and start from scratch... it's not like the front is unique architecture for Cardiff, and keeping it limits the future layout of whatever is built there.

I would like them to keep the facade because it is part of history. Just incorporate it into any future building just like the new hotel

I guess it depends what they build there, I found the scale difference between the terrace frontage and that tower quite jarring, and it didn't look good.

Hey all, If you're me you like looking at Cardiff on google maps of all the skylines and stuff that goes on. Its been a long while since our 3D version of the city has had an update. It's now more up-to-date!!!! no more half-built Zenith!
