Altolusso

I might be alonehere but I don't dislike the way Altolusso rises out from behind the old stone building. I actually quite like the design of Altolusso too, although wish the finishes were higher quality.

It clearly isn't in the same league of two of the buildings posted - the league where "top position" means worst use of a historic facade or building. I'm also not sure I object to the one in Lancaster either.

Guardian architecture writers do seem to like having a little pop at Cardiff though.

A bit of a mixed bag there. The Unitarian chapel is laugh-out-loud funny but I really like the Lancaster bus depot. The student housing is an utter abomination.

I've got used to Altolusso, but it seemed a bit weird at first.

That article is years old. I'm sure it was talked about on the old forum.

Ha you're right, Simon. Didn't notice. It popped up on Google newssearch when I typed in "Cardiff development".
