There are arguments on both sides but when compared with how obsessive other nations can
be about a particular sport I don't see how we can say we even have one.

I think you're right in many respects. Wales think they're obsessed about rugby? Yeah, go and spend 5 minutes in New Zealand or South Africa. Likewise with football, go to England, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Argentia etc. to see a national obsession.

Todays the day!!! anyone feeling nervous? I certainly am, mind you Belgium have a few injuries, and haven't managed to beat us in our last 3 games against them, so do we dare to dream? Whatever happens I hope we give a great account of ourselves as everything to do with Wales in this competition has been very positive. C'MON WALES!

Fantastic result and whatever happens from now on this team will always be legends, what an achievement.

So nice to see so much support from other nations too, a good few English friends and colleagues vying for us!

It feels like I have woken up in an alternative reality this morning, where Wales are in the SF of the Euros.

Don't pinch me! I might wake up!

Don't want to put a dampner on things but I wasn't impressed by all the Welsh lads jumping for joy when England lost. That's what fans do when their own team is s*** (Scotland) right?

It's called a sporting rivalry Frank. They don't like us and we don't like them. It's nothing to do with being good or shit.

It's just a form of tribalism. Is it a mature thing to do? No of course not.

Just about every football nation on earth dislikes the English football team. It's not even a jealousy thing, just a general dislike of the team.

It probably wasn't wise to show those celebrations - but the team would've been immersed in the England Iceland game and watching a truly historic result. I wasn't leaping around like that at the final whistle but as a Wales fan seeing England lose to such a small footballing nation I thought was fantastic, partly for the reasons Kyle mentioned and partly in that Leicester city way. A triumph for an organised team whose individual players are probably considerably less talented than their opponents! Let's face it Wales are also doing this give or take a handful of gifted players.

I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Jantra!

Been to a few 6 nation matches and most people are not the slightest bit interested in the actual match. Instead they are there as a day out, which is fine. 10 minutes before half time people are up out of their seat beating the rush for the bar. It doesn't help that rugby has become a very stop start game these days. Even hardened rugby fans are not quiet sure of why the ref has stopped play yet again. The number 11 was not facing the correct direction while having more than 50% of his limbs in contact with the pitch.
And do get me started about how the local valley clubs scam the public by selling their tickets and then reporting them lost!
WRU then send out "duplicates" for 10 quid a pop.
