I would have thought they'd have a cycle/footbridge over the rail line so students can access the facilities at Talybont!

Some more info on this student accommodation in Mynachdy.

There are no additional bridges over the train tracks included in the PP. Since the North end of the development abuts Western Avenue I guess they thought it was an expense too far?

Looks like the old chapel on Pearl Street, Adamsdown (CF24 1HD) is going to be demolished.

Looks like Network Rail are behind it.

Report seems to suggest it is due to it being unsafe, they are worried about it collapsing onto the railway track...
A little part of me hopes it's actually to make way for a new station, this location is right next to where the old (Roath!) Station was so presumably there is room at Track Level for platforms.

I'm being optimistic though

Approve this next week and then all systems go! I know that other names are in the hat for hmrc but this just seems to fit the bill perfectly, still perhaps plenty going on behind the scenes - Rightacres 45 storey 'tax tower'!! south side of central station maybe!. I'd be very happy with what's proposed for John St, I guess they'd be getting a bit of a shift on as well if proposal accepted as preferred development?

I'm willing to bet that half of those "thousands of people" who signed the petition probably didn't realise that the railway arches were being used this way. Personally, I think they should just f*%& off, build baby build!

So this might not go ahead because of some parking issues ? Ffs... makes you wonder how London and New York ever built anything on the scale of what They have.

Why Is it always such a long process... The 132m building was just a dream by the looks of it as well !

No, it's just a matter of time. Things are still going on in the background.
