But Burrito Bros is not exactly insignificant - a former A1 unit right at the front of the centre turning A3. Indicative of what's to come.

Actually I did think that this in itself was an indication of those plans - as obviously or it would seem unlikely as the centre presently exists thar Bros Burrito would've considered locating there

Yes initially I thought that these plans, we await, involved the centre virtually being started again.
So - on the strength of the Burrito Bros announcement then presumably they are aware of what's to become of the centre and therefore it's not going to involve that end! So it's gonna have to be pretty exciting 'the other end'!! oh well maybe we'll find out more this week.

Maybe it's a pop up, there wouldn't be room for a kitchen in that tiny unit so I imagine the food would be produced in their main shop. A bit of rental income while the plans are being finalised possibly.

Having said that, I doubt they'd want to lose Tesco & easyGym so maybe that end is remaining but redesigned.

The centre is not closing, and Pret, Tesco, EasyGym and Pulse are long term tenants. They all have a strong trade and fit in with a more leisure-led centre. There is little need for drastic redevelopments at that end besides converting units to A3 and possibly cosmetic changes.

Any word on that imminent announcement regarding the tower?

I'm no Engineer or Architect but I would imagine the entire centre would need to be closed if they were to construct a 30 Story Tower.

The foundations I would imagine are not strong enough to support such a building and would be difficult to keep a section open whilst demolition work is being carried out on the remaining part of the building.

I do agree with other peoples thoughts that they should concentrate on the entertainment industry, on the shopping front it's a lost cause.
