if it's about Cardiff.. Sport, Entertainment, Transportation, Business, Development Projects, Leisure, Eating, Drinking, Nightlife, Shopping, Train Spotting! etc.. then we want it here!
Well, whether it's for No. 5 or No. 4, I think it's safe to say this scheme is progressing far quicker than any of us would have thought! The developers around Cardiff are putting their money where their mouth is for once.
If they are pushing ahead with no 4 now It's possible that they have a tenant lined up, because up till now they haven't actually been rushing to build, so why now the sudden urgency?

well technically i am sure they can, and then get retrospective planning...not that i imagine they would try that...
given the council's desire to get things moving, i'm pretty sure they have had the nod and wink to get on with things whilst the application ghosts through planning
"The cheapest rooms cost £137 a week" - Enough said really. It wasn't that long ago (a matter of a couple of years) that rooms at Talybont were going for £67 per week and let's be honest, it's a nicer part of town than Adamstown!
"The company has applied for a similar change of use at their sites in Bristol and Newcastle upon Tyne."
This is also interesting. Are they backdooring the planning process? Building student accomodation schemes, charging stupid rent (£50-odd a week more than what Cardiff Uni say is "average") and then doing what is more profitable and also avoiding the social housing requirements?
