The only one of significant size is Ty Pont Haern

Yes that maybe my problem, that's all I have to go on.

This is one of the artists impressions.

And look what a load of cr*p it turned out to be!

I did search long and hard for some decent pre-planning pictures, but that's the best!
The "artist" even drew in the weeds on the railway line in an attempt to soften the look of stalag 19.
But them were the days before the slick computer generated renders of the current crop of high rises.
The offices above the new bus station has undergone various "transformations" even before it has started and none for the good.
Don't get me wrong I will be pleasantly surprised if the new student blocks look as good in real life but I suspect the coulours wont be as vibrant nor the lines as slick.

Definitely has a feel of the Moscow 1980 olympic village about it to me

Noticed what looked like a new sign on the old post office down the bay - reference the old Merchant Place scheme but mentioning apartments - so maybe a sign that they are going residential or could just be trying to disguise it for the champions league.

Even had Skyview house mentioned on it which was a completely new building.

Have I missed this one? It popped up on my Linkedin page last week as having just gone out for Pre-Application consultation. It's described as a 25 storey mixed used development and has been designed by the same Architects as the Dumballs Rd proposal.

what is it?

Edit: having seen the full pic I would say yes please to that, if the quality is decent.

There's a similar one proposed for the other end of Dumballs Rd too, which I'd completely forgotten about. Is that the one by the same architects? It looks okay to me. Can't keep up with these towers anymore!
