I don't think its cladding: I think its concrete.

I think it looks ok. one man's meat etc etc

It is a form of cladding placed over the concrete cores, which are in the corners :?

Exactly, and it looks ghastly. Partially I think its because of the gaps in the panels. The renders before showed a shiny dark silver / grey effect which looked far nicer!

But it definitely does look more like this:

So best guess say's it's going to look just like it does now. It'll be looking very dirty after a few years!

The cladding is made of stone. I personally think it looks great. It obviously isn't going to look fantastic in low light, but in direct sunlight it does have a reflective quality like the image you've posted. It's also worth keeping in mind that it's nowhere near finished, and certain aspects of the design have me believing this building will look greater than the sum of its parts, so to speak.

Sounds positive but... how soon! Also with the area newly hoarded off it looks like work is underway so I'm intrigued whether this is confirmation that work is underway? maybe confirmation of a date that St Davids house will bite the dust? new 35 storey tower to replace the 12 storeys planned!!!? :o

This doesn't tell us anything we don't already know though? Thought HMRC moving in was dead cert.
