New tower of glass opposit the golden cross

it was my sons birthday party yesterday and we went out to flatholm on one of the fast RIBs. The view out in the Severn as you look towards Cardiff - the skyline is quite impressive and a few more talls will certainly improve it some more. I appreciate it is all about perspective but from certain angles it does look pretty slick

You went out to Flat Holm, tell us about the great view and where might I ask are the photos?

I thought about doing the Penarth-Flat Holm ferry service, mostly for the view back to Cardiff, but the thought of 4 hours on the island with squawking sea gulls has puts me off.

Take one of the fast boats through the barrage from Mermaid Quay, they take you out tot he islands and then back, its not scary twists and turns, thats the other boat.

Imagine that with the 26 story Watkins Jones bridge street tower, the 30 story central square tower and another one or two in capital quarter.

That is OK isn't it. Certainly the two new ones shown along with Bridge Street will make a very nice cluster, likewise the Central Square tower in front of BT Tower will build that area up nicely. Cardiff is on the up!

Hope to have more news soon, but it looks as if this project is slowly starting to come alive again.

Good news. I pass the site every day on the train, pretty sure I saw a few people milling around there the other day. Lots of pointing and looking up - looked official!!

I walk passed the site most days so I'll keep an eye out for activity, although our own forum member that's
involved will update us I'm sure
