if it's about Cardiff.. Sport, Entertainment, Transportation, Business, Development Projects, Leisure, Eating, Drinking, Nightlife, Shopping, Train Spotting! etc.. then we want it here!

None. More suspicious of an air of scapegoating to be honest. If continuous utopia doesn't ensue, let's childishly blame the council for everything, regardless of where culpability lies.

What a silly post. Your opinion on how Cardiff maintains it's history is just that, an opinion. Throwing around accusation like that because someone doesn't agree with you, or points out the situation is more complex, is utterly ridiculous.

Dammit, you got me. Someone else commenting on the stupidity of your post proves that I have a vested interest with the council. You're too smart for me
jonbvn wrote:Everyone jumping in confirms my hypothesis IMHO.
Really? Well to me that just confirms that neither your hypothesis nor your opinion, humble or otherwise, is worthy of any serious consideration whatsoever.

He's just a wind-up merchant. Don't rise to his bait. Its a bad sad how he gets off on doing it.
The old Rossiters of Bath unit in Royal Arcade is to be split up into 3 units: 2 on the ground floor and 1 in the basement.
The ground floor units will be retail (facing Royal Arcade) and a cafe (facing Barry Lane and to be run by Mrs Potts, who run the youth hostel on St Mary Street). The basement unit is listed as being D2 - and they've had interest from a gym and from an escape rooms operator. (The latter must be a fad thats about to peter out or reach saturation point??).
Good to see it get some use. And the outside tables proposed by Mrs Potts for Barry Lane should give that a bit of atmosphere/animation.
It's not Mrs Potts backpackers who are running it. There's a company based in Bristol that's called Mrs Potts who specialise in chocolate treats so it could be them.

Hrm, interesting and confusing. Mrs Potts backpackers sort of run a coffee-shop/cafe on their groundfloor too (at least for hostel guests). So I assumed it was an offshoot.

Nah there's no coffee shop in there. Just self-catering facilities
