Yes that is interesting. Though does anyone know of the proposed tram route if it is to go down Wood street?

I had heard previously about initially going from Roald Dahl Plass through to the center, down St Mary's street and beyond possibly as far as Llantristant eventually. But i had assumed the article meant all the way down St Mary's street to the Castle, not just as far as Wood street.

As I understand it everything is still flexible but the proposed "route one" would probably begin in Roald Dahl Plass and replace the current railway with one spur going to Queen Street Station and another running 'on street' to Central Station before using the current City Line to Fairwater thence along the old junction railway Fairwater > Plasdŵr > Creigiau > Llantwit Faerdre > Llantrisant

Hmm, I heard the same rumour at the weekend too! Awful lot of potential housing space on that site! ;)

HMRC from Llanishen ? Didn't see that one coming ! How strong a rumour is that, or has someone just made it up on here ?

I'm not sure what I feel about it if it was true. Good news for the developer yes, but that's the BBC, Finance Wales and HMRC...I was kind of hoping for more private sector jobs coming to the city in the enterprise zone area of the city !

I suppose there is a massive amount of space in total across all the projects and it would provide more pace to the developments in the city centre and free up space for homes in Llanishen.

So, just for clarity this mock up is what we'll get in 2019?

That mock up is really lazy. There is no way the trees would be allowed to overhang the railway line like that!

I don't understand the people walking around behind the main train station building, North of platform 1. There isn't a platform there, platform 0 is short and stops before this building. There is no walkway here or even any access to it if you randomly decided it was a fun place to visit. They can't even build pedestrian access here as the building backs straight onto the tracks!

Lazy renders annoy me. If this is wrong then what else will be different? I don't have much faith that what gets built will look like this. Even if all the buildings are constructed I believe the finished product will look different. 95% of the buildings built in Cardiff look nothing like their renders.
