Yes, Sephora confirmed for MSU08. Great letting, just a shame about the unit chosen.
UK Sephora stores are on the smaller size, whilst the previous VS / H&M unit is northwards of 20,000 sq ft.
Existing UK Sephora stores are in the 5,000 - 7,000 sq ft region: Newcastle’s Eldon Square (6,515 sq ft), Gateshead Metrocentre (6,180 sq ft), Manchester Trafford Centre (5,382 sq ft), Manchester Arndale (7,300 sq ft), Bullring Birmingham (4,925 sq ft), Bluewater (4,593 sq ft) and Liverpool One (6,727 sq ft).
Assuming they follow the same store design and footprint of existing UK Sephora stores, it’s likely most of the unit will be unused, which is disappointing.
In an ideal world, I would’ve liked to have seen Superdry relocate from LG17/18/19/20 to the unit previously occupied by Morphe (UG37) and their unit subdivided into LG17/18 and LG19/20. I can’t foresee Superdry sustaining an 11,000 sq ft unit for much longer. Sephora could’ve taken one of these subdivided units and Victoria Secret could’ve potentially taken the other, remaining in the centre in a unit more aligned to their new store requirements.
