Looks nice, but where are the Buses??

I see a Bus in this one!

Can you imagine this on match day?
The stone seats outside the station had to be removed due to drunks sleeping on them.
Artists never give a down to earth impression.

The video at the bottom of the article gives a better presentation of the design. It will be interesting to see how it works out but I'd imagine a lot of thought has gone into it.

That's a fantastic building, great scale as well. I'm not sure how the huge canopy from the bus station building to Cardiff Central fits in with Network Rail's plans though.

Let's hope the demolition of Marland House starts soon.

'It will act as a spectacular gateway' 8-)

I wonder if the Cardiff Central Train Station developments will happen though with the Network Rail spend being cut but fair play the bus station looks fantastic.

I'd imagine that Network Rail have been consulted a number of times on this project. They were probably one of the reasons it took so long to release any plans!
To be honest I prefer this to the design Network Rail proposed. I'm liking how the two stations connect.

News plans for the bus station. Looks promising. Hopefully work can start by the end of the year. The place will look like a little dubai with all the cranes going to be onsite

I like that very much. Whilst it is not hard to improve the area, this is a hugely impressive. Now, lets get on with it!

Very nice.

I wonder if we'll hear more soon about this civil service department relocating from London? The Interchange part of Central Square was one of the rumoured sites they were looking at wasn't it.

Some more tenant announcements in the next few months would really push this project on.

As far as I can make out when this goes ahead there will be only one part of the redevelopment that faces the station that hasn't started - the building between cap1 and the BBC. This is bound to give a great first impression to any visitor. Let's hope they can crack on with the phases behind central square and not stall like so many of cardiff's developments do
