I love Shake Shack, half decent burgers.

At £9.20 for a cheeseburger and chips, and over a fiver for a milkshake, it had better be. Oh, and £5.50 for beer.

They are a bit higher priced than the Shack Shack prices in the UAE where I used to go but kind of comparable to similar places in Cardiff. I go to Ed's Diner in St.Davids now and then and the prices are around the same.

I am going to Burger & Lobster next week, I am intrigued to see how many burgers are sold - as above £20 for a burger is mental!

Just noticed Bagel Bar has been closed for at least a week now. Notices on the front. Wonder what happened there? Always enjoyed their coffee & overpriced bagels ;)

Does anyone know what is happening with Ruby Tuesday? Passed today and sign said that due to unforeseen circumstances it would not be open until further notice. Always looked healthily busy in there? As an aside the centre was busy today - school holidays notwithstanding.

Pipi's has also closed on Caroline St which is a shame because it had a bit of a genuine non-pretentious feel. I think a taco or burrito place is going there instead.

Ruby Tuesdays Cardiff's Twitter account (@rubytuescardiff) has vanished as well, which doesn't bode well.

I hadn't realised it was the only one in the UK.

It was being run as a franchise by someone local, from Ponty if I remember what I read correctly. The Cardiff outlet was meant to be the first of a few.

Shame if they've gone out of business
