Any chance of getting Brian Blessed to unveil it?

My god that thing's tasteful! I wish it was in my front garden right now making all the neighbours nauseous with jealousy ;)

It reminds me of the sort of illuminated feature that you'd expect to see next to a 1970's fairground ride to attract the passing punters' attention.

I can almost imagine a complimentary booth alongside with a string of 150 watt bulbs around the top (half of which have blown but haven't been replaced) with a disinterested semi-spliffed out youth flogging grey cardboard paper chits for 50p for a ride on the 'Lightning Express'.

Anyone know what is going to fill the empty units in the admiral building? Starbucks? Lol.

Some form of coffee shop wouldn't be a big surprise, they would get a lot of custom from the Admiral office workers. Even though Starbucks are already in St David's 2 their shop is at another entrance, so footfall wouldnt be an issue. I think a bar would be best in that location but a restaurant is more likely given its location to the food quarter, along with The Smoke Haus and Fed.

Admiral are going to have their own coffee shop on their ground floor I think? (At least initial plans showed this).

There are 3 units in total I think. One will probably be a sandwich shop I think. Could another be some kind of service providor? e.g. a hairdresser? And the larger, I'd like a cafe-bar where day time its relaxed, and a lot of people having coffee, light bites etc, and night time, bit more of a drinking establishment. Should find lots of customers at Admiral for the latter in paticular!

Talking of Fed - is there a new opening date in the diary? It looks like a slightly different take on the ubiquitous "world buffet", and wouldn't mind trying it when I'm back for Xmas.

Having gone for a long walk this afternoon - more elsewhere! - I noticed this as I was coming down Park Place. Don't know if Admiral realised it but you get a good view coming towards Queen St.
