Honestly Dave, a few lines from the article and a link would be fine.

This would have the added benefit of not flagrantly violating WalesOnline's copyright.

This type of article exemplifies the decline of WalesOnline. Its not news. Its something they can churn out based on a press release, and perhaps even get paid for. I like to hear about new developments, even major new store or bar or restaurant openings. But this isn't a news story. Its an advert for a bloody pasty and sandwich shop!

Cabinet member Bob Derbyshire said: “The current agreement for the concession at Victoria Park expires on March 31. The council has a duty to ensure that value for money is obtained and therefore is in the process of advertising the opportunity for a new agreement. Mrs Cardinale will have the opportunity to submit a proposal for this new agreement which will have a term of five years.”

Cardiff West National Assembly candidate Neil McEvoy has started an online petition on the issue.

'She should be celebrated, not turfed out'
It reads: “‘Aunty Ida’ or ‘Mama’, as generations of Cardiffians affectionately know Ida Cardinale, deserves an extension to her café lease at Victoria Park. She paid for the building to be built and is as much a part of Victoria Park as Billy the Seal. She should be celebrated, not turfed out, after serving our community for 50 years. Cardiff council, please do the decent thing.”

He added: “The outpouring of feeling is very strong. The online petition is mounting up and I want Councillor Bob Derbyshire to reconsider his decision. It’s simply not fair.”
