That is a great photo.

Imagine the view in 12-18 months when hopefully Watkin Jones have their tower on the up & maybe Smart's will begin peeking over too. Just as an aside does Watkin Jones development have a name yet?

I don't think it does officially? For me it's Hope Tower, being on Hope street and I live in hope that Cardiff actually get a building of this height and in my opinion quality! :)

Twr Gobaith!

Wld be great to see a CGI image of the finished town ( as much as is planned already) Think it will be an impressive sight if it all comes off.

It's interesting how small the Marriot looks in that photo given that it used to dominate the southern end of town. The site is a lot smaller since the new library was built but it's still a big footprint. I wouldn't be surprised to see it redeveloped over the next few years.

Not an exact representation but pretty effective way of comparing how proposed buildings interact with existing ones:

Looks pretty good even if it isn't exact. Even though most of those buildings are only mid-rises the city centre is certainly going to gain some bulk from them. Add in the strip of buildings from Capital Quarter and the other JR Smart projects towards Callaghan Square and it's all looking pretty impressive.
