Charles Street Mixed Use Development with Tower

I'm surprised everything seems so chipper in the construction business. Are these fairly local builders without much exposure to London.

They are based in Bangor Frank, but are building all across the UK

We should see a tower crane goinging up 1st of November and the structure going up 8th October.
It also suggests that another floor could be added?

I just love really tall tower cranes, they look like they shouldn't stand up in high winds without guys.

According to this programme, the structure will start going up before the tower crane arrives, and we should see demolition as early as next week. It also says, submition on nwa for extra floor and basement, anybody know what that means?

There were plans to include a basement, but that has been removed from the scheme.

Now I'm not one to get carried away until a tower crane appears on site! been caught out on that one before on the Cardiff development front!! However the first signs today on progress towards preparation of construction of the tallest building in Cardiff since 1967. So in all fairness it's looking pretty good for this fine development

naah, hi viz is 10 a penny - a tower crane shows real commitment!!

I saw some materials there lunchtime so was wondering if they were due to start.

I guess demolition is imminent then as they've changed things since midday today.
