Cardiff start their Pro 12 campaign Saturday evening at 7.35pm. It's live on S4C (good for those of us outside Wales but with Sky) with English or Welsh commentary.

Just a tiny niggle to say that other satellite TV receiving systems are available. Freesat, or any other DVB-S compatible receiving equipment will pick it up quite nicely, it's broadcast unencrypted.

Satellite TV != Sky exclusively. :D

Fair point.
Also BBC Sport app was streaming it, and this is available on most smart TVs.

THE ROAD TO THE WORLD CUP - RUSSIA 2108!

The next campaign for Wales starts tonight at a full Cardiff City stadium. Looking forward to tonights game, but a little nervous as it's very important to get off to a winning start if we are to qualify for the next world cup. If we can keep the momentum of Euro 2016 going then it shouldn't be a problem - although a player like Ramsey is always going to be missed. Having said that, we didn't do that bad against Portugal without Ramsey (although if he'd have played - who knows?) so we should get the better of Moldova!! Anyway I've got my 'season ticket' for the home games, and at £80 for 5 games - Bl***y Bargain C'MON WALES

Wales 4 - 0 Moldova

That'll do nicely! next stop Vienna for somewhat more of a challenge!

The Cardiff City stadium was great last night - nice to see some fans there!! (speaking as a bluebird  ) Anyway the Welsh FA do a fantastic job of converting the stadium to the home of Welsh football for these games. I know the principality stadium is often mentioned, to accomodate larger crowds, but the atmosphere at the Cardiff City stadium is the proverbial 12th man. Larger stadiums always struggle to get that kind of atmosphere, so the players and fans choice of the Cardiff City stadium should continue as our home ground. regardless of hopefully continuing success and interest.

Never wanting to rain on anyone's parade me!
If they didn't win, now that would be news.

Fifa World Rankings:

11 WAL Wales 1137(1136.84) 1137
165 MDA Moldova 151(151.17) 151

Austria will be a little more interesting.
22 AUT Austria 875(874.67) 875

PS
I notice that England are below Wales in the Rankings?
Shome mishtake, shurely?

First Pro12 away game of the season tonight. The match against Munster is on BBC2 Wales, or via the red button/BBC Sport app and website.

Looking forward to seeing this tonight, I thoroughly enjoyed their first match against Edinburgh. This will be quite a test for what is starting to look like a very much improved Cardiff Blues!!

It is a huge test tonight. There is no doubt that Cardiff are turning a corner & tonight will show whether a Top 6 place is even on the cards. One positive is that the brand of forward play is developing and earlier today it was tipping down so tonight will offer a chance to refine that area of the game plan.
