Tough Pro 12 test for Cardiff away at Treviso on Saturday.
Obviously they've had some awful results against the Italians in recent seasons but I still think they need to rest some key players for this game. If they want to contend this season they need to manage players' fitness accordingly. Looks like a strong squad and this is why you have that depth.

However, not everyone agrees and say the first XV should be out there to maximise the chance of a BP win. Thoughts?

Well I'm no expert on Rugby matters - but it strikes me that they really need to keep this winning mentality going! Maybe now is not the time to assume that we are world beaters and use a weakened side?

We're playing Zebre on Saturday. Bigger tests await, we won't go through the season unbeaten, we should beat Zebre for a he first time in 3 years in Parma. Wilson needs to rotate a few around. There is no way anyone associated with Cardiff rugby will think we are world beaters!

I agree with this.
My issue is that players are bound to miss games during the season. I'd rather miss them now than have them injured for crucial games due to 'overplaying'. It's a squad game more than ever.

Let's forget some imperfect performances for a minute and enjoy this set of sports results from this weekend

Rotherham 1-2 Cardiff City
Zebre 21-23 Cardiff Blues
Cardiff Devils 6-3 Coventry Blaze
Sheffield Steelers 3-5 Cardiff Devils

Fancy not knowing your Donacasters from your Rotherhams.

Rotherham=Sheffield's arse-end

Doncaster=Fine historic town with racecourse and parkland at its core.
