When that tower crane does get built, it'll be the tallest since maybe 1967

They are still awaiting the Amazon delivery, but the extra sections are on back order.

The crane will go up in December. The piles have to go in first.

Great progress on this site
The putter building has been demolished and the only remaining parts to any of the three buildings are the two fronts that are being incorporated into the build.
I was surprised that only the fronts remain

Looking good, bring on the Crain

Parts are to be rebuilt once the new structure is in place.

Unfortunately there's been a few issues that have cause a few delays, but everyone is cracking on. Busy times!

It is now on Watkins jones web site, they say it's 24 stories, I always thought it was going to be 26? Also they have got the client as super scheme limited rather than Watkins jones

Those photos all look very stretched to exaggerate the height. Also I'm not sure that Cardiff Council would licence tables and chairs which take up the whole pavement!

Oh! I hope they realise we're designing 27 floors for them!

It was 24 some time ago, then the floor-to-floor heights were reduced and some more floors squeezed in. The tower will be just about 80m.

Well judging by the pictures it's about 500 foot tall! mind you that means a lot of skinny 8ft people!! Hopefully it remains the 81 and-a-bit metres and the 24 storeys is incorrect (or is it a way of just referring to the tower above the base?) as then at least we will almost certainly get the tallest building constructed in this city since 1967!! and hopefully it won't hold that title as long either!! Anyway this is all good news and I'm looking forward to seeing work start in earnest perhaps over the next couple of weeks after Cardiff Demolition finish their work on site.
