Had a wander around yesterday, was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was shaping up.

Even though these have lost their view, its not as bad due to these terraces

I'm not sure how much of a rethink there was while this development was 'on hold' but the newer part of the scheme does seem much more attractive than the original blocks on the linkroad side of the site.

Bellway have also submitted plans to turn the cafe in the tower block to two apartments:

The units in the remaining two blocks have gone on sale and there are a few renders in the brochure:

The new block concreting has now nearly finished with a few retaining walls left which I would guess will take only another week including removing the support structure for the roof. The area for the large mobile crane to remove the tall crane appears to being cleared so I imagine it wont be long before the promenade will be opened: they are putting in the pathway nearly up to the gate already.

Just a little update - The huge mobile crane has arrived and is building itself to remove the Horizon tower crane

is the café they were letting down there open yet?

some great pics from the top too, ta - anyone think it was a missed opp with the bridge in the bay not to be a bit more dramtic, a bit more of a feature somehow?
